10-05-09 Seeing Green: Transitions

Special Note: This is the first is a series this week that I am calling “Seeing Green,” which will feature green things I have photographed. Sounds exciting, doesn’t it?

I like the transitional colors in these leaves. And I also like the veins that are clearly visible.

  1. Was this taken with your 50mm? The DOF looks incredibly shallow. I like the colors as well; the leaves almost look like they’re glowing.

    • It was taken with a 100mm 2.8 macro lens. It’s a great lens – both telephoto and macro. I shot this one from about 8 inches. The leaves were a little translucent. I did boost the saturation a little in Aperture, which is the raw image processor I use. Thanks for looking Mark.
