This is an early morning shot of a back lit tree in the Borghese Gardens in Rome. There is something prehistoric-looking in these leaves. I don’t know what kind of tree this is but it could be a relative of the locust, which grows in some places in South Dakota.
I liked your content in your post and I felt that i is the great source of knowledge.I am very impress with your post.
thanks
Scott, it looks a good deal like the honeylocust, one of the more popular street trees of New York City. The leaves on your tree may be narrower.
Pretty shot, and knowing where it’s from makes me “Romesick” …
Am trying to help my sister and her husband plan their first visit for June. I’m suggesting at least 5 days in Rome – I think feeling pressured to run here and there and see Rome’s “must sees” in two or three days is enough to spoil the city. It needs a slower pace (since the pace around can feel hectic) and, most of all, enough days that you can avoid lines by being early to something every day!
