Every once and a while I find a portrait I have taken that catches my eye. This is one. Katie was a great subject. She was relaxed and easy to work with. And the fact that she was pretty didn’t hurt. When I shoot a subject like this, I think that if I don’t get good photos, then I must not be a very good photographer.

You did an awesome job with Katie’s senior portraits, Scott!! She loved working with you and I had a great time watching!! 🙂
Thanks, Jan. It was my privilege.
I’ve caught up on a couple weeks of ‘photo a day’ entries and this one is the most compelling to me. Katie is beautiful. The character that shines through in that photo transends anything merely ‘skin-deep’. Great work.
As I looked at a number of photos, it struck me that I have a bias: I am most moved by your portraits.
If you have somewhere in your archives a photo of someone holding a large fish wearing a big smile that would be incredible.
