There is nothing particularly unique about this photo, other than the subjects, who are unique. And this is no doubt one of those photos that has much greater meaning to me and my family than it would to the casual observer. For this is my son Brian and daughter-in-law Katie. And they are expecting their first child (and our first grand child) in late May. And it’s a girl!
This photo documents both an impromptu performance by our son Brian and my Mom’s last Thanksgiving outing in 2008. I had forgotten about this photo and I’m happy I’m a packrat.
This is not your every day walk in the park; it’s Brian and Katie walking in the park. Overdressed? I don’t think so.
Several years ago our oldest son Brian gave a concert and part of his Senior Project at the University of South Dakota. As I was looking for photos to post to this blog, I came across the pictures I had taken for Brian. There wasn’t much light in the room other than that lighting the stage. This photo has a gritty look to it – in part because of the black and white process I applied but also because I was shooting at high ISO.
